In 2016, he played the lead role of Rishabh Shrivastav in Zee TV's show Brahmarakshas opposite Krystle D'Souza. Currently, he is see in the role of legendary king Vikramaditya in &Tv's Vikram Betaal Ki Rehasya Gatha.
Early in 2015, he was finalized as the lead to do a new television show named Dosti... Yaariyan... Manmarziyan produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary for Star Plus. He played the role of Arjun Mehra the protagonist with a hidden motif. His role has various shades where he constantly strives between the good and the bad in him. Aham as Arjun again stole the hearts of the viewers which his outstanding performance and immense dedication.

Sharma rose to prominence by his performances in the TV series Aasman Se Aage (2012) and later in the mythological television series Mahabharat where he played the roles of Angad and Karna respectively.
