Timeline
Following the dismissal of Canberra Raiders head coach David Furner during the 2013 NRL season, Dunemann was named on 20 August as the club's interim head coach. He was replaced in a full-time capacity by Ricky Stuart for the 2014 NRL season onwards.
In 2008, he became head coach of the Northern Pride.
In the 2007 NRL season, Dunemann returned to Australia and signed with Canberra. He featured in two games for the club, the last of which was a 26-0 loss to Cronulla-Sutherland at Shark Park in round 6.
As Super League IX champions, Leeds faced 2004 NRL season premiers, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the 2005 World Club Challenge. He played for Leeds in the 2005 Challenge Cup Final from the interchange bench in their loss against Hull FC. Dunemann played at hooker in Leeds' 39-32 victory. Later that year he played for the Leeds Rhinos at hooker in their 2005 Super League Grand Final loss against Bradford Bulls.
For the 1999 NRL season, Dunemann joined South Sydney. He played five games for Souths as they were controversially excluded from the competition at the end of the year due to the NRL's rationalization policy. As a result of this, Dunemann joined Halifax in England. After a few seasons at Halifax, Dunemann signed with Leeds.
Dunemann spent two further seasons at the Gold Coast as the club finished towards the bottom of the table. In the 1996 ARL season, Dunemann joined North Queensland. During the Super League war, North Queensland joined the rival Super League competition but finished last in the one and only year the league was in existence.
Dunemann made his first grade debut for the Gold Coast in round 18 of the 1993 NSWRL season against North Sydney with the match finishing in a 46-16 loss. This was Dunemann's only appearance of the season as the club finished last on the table.

Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Dunemann previously played for the Gold Coast Seagulls, Canberra Raiders, Leeds Rhinos, Halifax and Souths. He played at Stand Off.
