Knapp hit the team’s first walk off home run since 2016 on July 1, 2018, in the 13th inning against the Washington Nationals. In 2018, he batted .198/.294/.316 with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs in 187 at bats. He threw out 18 per cent of attempted base stealers.
Knapp spent 2016 with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. With them, he batted .266/.330/.390 with eight home runs and 46 RBIs in 107 games and was an International League mid-season All Star.

In 2013, Knapp was 3rd in the conference with a .350 batting average, tied for 3rd with a .544 slugging percentage, ranked 4th with a .434 on base percentage, and hit 8 home runs. Over three seasons, he hit .294, with 14 home runs, and 82 RBIs for the California Golden Bears baseball team. Knapp’s younger brother, Aaron also played for Berkeley and plays in Minor League Baseball (MiLB).
