From 2011 to 2018, he served as the vice president of Myanmar Computer Industry Association. In 2014, he became one of the board of directors and managing director of Myanmar Thilawa SEZ Holdings Public Limited. From November 2017 to December 2018, he served as Chairman of Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD), the operator and developer of Thilawa Special Economic Zone. It is the first SEZ in Myanmar and a monumental project strongly supported by the governments of Myanmar and Japan.

After returning from Thailand, he started his business and worked as a director at Myanmar Information Technology Pte. Ltd in 2004. Hee founded the Myanmar ComBiz Group in 2005. In 2009, he became a board member of Myanmar's largest fuel distributor, Denko Trading.

Aung Soe Tha (Burmese: အောင်စိုးသာ ; born 5 October 1980) is a Burmese business magnate, founder and chairman of Myanmar ComBiz Group, a major conglomerate in Myanmar which is engaged in the business of construction, real estates and export, import and distribution of agriculture products. He won the ASEAN Business Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2011. Aung Soe Tha was on the EU blacklist from August 2009 until May 2012.

Aung Soe Tha was born on 5 October 1980 in Yangon, Myanmar. He is the eldest son of Soe Tha, a former Minister for National Planning and Economic Development, and his wife Kyu Kyu Win. He graduated with Bachelor of Economic from Institute of Economic, Yangon in 2005. He has joined in Doctorate program of Organizational Development in Assumption University after graduating Master of Business Administration from Institute of Economic, Yangon in 2009.
