After the success of Samjhana he started working in Nepali cinema with people such as Udit Narayan and many others. He later worked with Nepalese singers and film actors such as Danny Denzongpa, Udit Narayan , Nikhil Upreti and Jharana Thapa.

One of the biggest film actors in 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, he is considered as one of the most influential personality in the history of Nepalese cinema. One of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed actor in Nepalese Cinema ever.He is known for romantic,family and social message driven movies and he has several Industry Hits to his name . He started his career as a singer for Radio Nepal with songs such as "Mayalu timi tadha"(First Music Video of Nepal). His Debut movie is Juni(1981).It was his first role in acting.1982 release Samjhana helped him gain recognition to establish him as a successful actor in Nepal and has never looked back since then.
