Miles was recognized by his peers at the American Society of Cinematographers and presented with the 2020 ASC Award for Outstanding Cinematography in a Series for Commercial Television for episode 2, "The Flatwoods Monster".
Subsequent to the completion of principal photography on "Marwen", Miles was then invited to collaborate on another project with ImageMovers, to photograph their first episodic television title, "Project Blue Book", for A&E Networks and The History Channel, which became the Top New Cable Series of 2019 upon its debut.
2019 brought an opportunity to work with Netflix on "Lost in Space" in its second season, debuting on Christmas Eve, 2019. After completing that, and the second season of "Project Blue Book", Miles is photographing "Home Before Dark" for Apple+, inspired by the real-life sleuthing of journalistic prodigy Hilde Lysiak.
In 2017, Miles realized a lifelong dream when he was invited to photograph passion project "The Women of Marwen" in collaboration with iconic director Robert Zemeckis, a truly life-changing experience.
2013 brought a chance to shoot network television when director Glen Winter asked Miles aboard during the second season of "Arrow" for Warner Brothers Television, which led to Miles photographing the first three seasons of companion Warner Bothers series "The Flash".
2002 brought an opportunity to work on the dark comedy series "Alienated" with Mark Sawers, followed by a run of more than thirty made-for television and direct-to-video projects beginning with "Killer Bash" with director David DeCoteau.
Miles was offered his first break directing photography by Canadian director Jerry McKenna in 1997, traveling with McKenna to shoot the first commercial spots ever for the Vietnamese market for Head & Shoulders and Tide laundry detergent.
In 1988, at fifteen years of age, C. Kim Miles began a lifelong journey in the motion picture business. Seizing the opportunity to become a grip at a commercial production house in his hometown of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he discovered a curiosity and love of the craft and soon found himself working his way up in the camera department.
