In 2007 David was lucky enough to be part of Chris Nolan's "The Dark Knight" as an extra. He played several background parts: #1-G. C. P. D. (Police Officer), #2- Businessperson, #3- Restaurant patron, and #4- Court Room filler. He was also lucky enough to follow around on set learning and helping out where he could.

2004

Then again in 2004 David was once again contracted by Lucasfilm LTD to create a four-foot model of the Death Star that was displayed at the Star Wars Celebration III in 2005.

2003

In 2003 David worked on a short film "Carbonite" which won second place in the 2003 Atom Films Star Wars Fan Films.

2002

In 2002 David worked for the Office of Air Permits at the Indianapolis Government Center where he helped create an informative training videos for state employees.

In 2002 David was been contracted by Lucasfilm LTD on two occasions the first contract to create the six-foot tall 25th Anniversary and Thank You card that was on display in 2002 at the Star Wars Celebration II where fans from all over the world were encouraged to sign the card. This card was presented to George Lucas.

2001

In 2001 David created an interactive CD-ROM on Customizing the Star Wars Universe. This CD-ROM taught people how to customize and create their own Star Wars action figures, which went over extremely well in the customizing world of Star Wars toys. This CD-ROM is no longer being produced.

David's first television commercial was one that was made especially for him for the Central Indianapolis Regional Blood Center in 1997 since David had a blood donation when in a serious car accident in 1989. David has also stared in other commercials from K-MART, WRTV Channel6 and a Wal-Mart commercial.

David Jonathan Syczylo was born March 7, 1978 and Visual media has inspired David Jonathan Syczylo ever since watching "Star Wars - Return of the Jedi" for the first time on the big screen as a kid. He knew from that moment someday he would be working in the visual entertainment industry. David loves Sci-Fi, Horror, Action Adventure, Romance, and Musicals. The creature from "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" is one of his all time favorite classic movie monsters and "The Phantom of the Opera" is his favorite Broadway Musical, second is CATS. David loves puppetry from the Muppets, Fraggle Rock, to the Dark Crystal and more. Real interaction on set is something David favors over computer-generated imagery. As a kid David and his friends would take the video camera out and make video movies. David also built many items from Lego to models, even building custom play sets for his action figures. As he grew older his passion of building things progressed into props and costumes that have inspired other creators out there to follow his steps. David started his educational training by attending the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana where he got his training in traditional fine art skills and art history. His drawing professors told David that his style is that of Degas. From there he progressed into Visual Communications - Multimedia Specialty with a background in business practices while attending both I. U. P. U. I. (Indiana University, Purdue University of Indianapolis) and Ivy Tech State College, Indianapolis.

1954

David had a mentor Ivan Rogers (1954-2010) who persuaded him to work in the visual entertainment field. Many doors opened up for David thanks to his mentor who he considered as his second father.
