David "Dave" Smith (born 13 February 1987 in Shellharbour) is an Australian sprint canoeist who has competed since the late 2000s. He won a silver medal in the K-2 1000 m event at the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Dartmouth. He also won a silver at the 2011 ICF World Championships in Szeged, Hungary in the K-4 1000m, and then a bronze in the same event in 2013.
