David Sparrow height - How tall is David Sparrow?

On May 14th, 2017, David was elected National President of the Canadian actor's union, ACTRA, the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists, helping to represent the work-life interests of over 23 thousand professional union performers working in recorded media.

In January 2013, David was elected the President of ACTRA Toronto, the largest local of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists, representing over 13,000 audiovisual performers in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He had previously served as the VP of Member Services since 2005.

In 2000, while shooting Across The Line in the Mojave Desert more than two hours from Los Angeles, David was informed he had booked a commercial for Kansas City Power and Light, shooting in Kansas City at 8:00 A.M. the next day. Things looked impossible, but the producers of the two projects put their heads together and at the end of the shoot day a helicopter landed on set and whisked David off to LAX so he could make his flight. The commercial folks were very happy and the low-budget movie makers got the added bonus of a helicopter shot!.

In 1989 David crashed an audition and was cast in the Second City's National Touring Company out of Toronto. His own comedy troupe soon followed. The Random Few toured across Canada and appeared on TV and Radio. With roles in over ninety film and TV projects David has had the opportunity to visit and work on sets and stages in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Vancouver and at numerous tiny venues across the country. He has also worked with dozens of amazing and iconic actors, directors and crew professionals.

In 1985, he married the love of his life and now has two grown daughters. He began his work life as a paramedic and then taught communications at the Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology.

David Sparrow was born in Solihull, Warwickshire, UK, on March 4, 1962 to his Canadian parents. The family moved back to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, just six weeks later. He played football and wrestled in high school and was the President of his student council.
