In late 2019 he released a number of new music videos featuring violinist Kenneth Rice from the Irish Chamber Orchestra, cellist Gerald Peregrine and violinist Lynda O'Connor. Over the years RTÉ has regularly featured Denis' compositions on various documentaries and on the Nationwide series.
Sean also recorded another song jointly written by Denis and Brendan titled " You Take Me There" which featured Sean with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and which was featured at the launch of his album in the National Concert Hall Dublin in 2018.
Leading Norwegian singer Helen Boksle also recorded "You Take Me There" for her album "The Blue Wave" and invited Denis to perform with her at the album launch in Oslo, Norway in October 2018. The songwriting collaboration between Denis and Brendan Graham is ongoing. Denis regularly works with a wide range of high-profile musicians in both concert and recording studio settings.
One of these songs " The Coast of Labrador" was recorded by well- known Irish singer Sean Keane in 2017.
Irish pianist and composer Denis Carey has performed and recorded with leading artists including Symphony Nova Scotia; RTÉ Concert Orchestra; Scottish National Orchestra; and Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Born in Newport, Co Tipperary, Denis grew up with a wide range of musical influences. His interest in Irish traditional music, classical and jazz has greatly influenced his unique style and sound. Denis has performed his own works in concert on a number of occasions with Symphony Nova Scotia in Canada where he also wrote the sound track for the Canadian movie "The Divine Ryan's " featuring Oscar nominee the late Pete Postletwaite. The movie was premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival in 2000. He has toured extensively with multi-award winning Brock McGuire Band and recorded an album "Green Grass Blue Grass" which featured 16 time Grammy Award winner Ricky Skaggs. The album celebrates the connection between Irish and Appalachian music. He is a member of Paul Brock Band and has worked extensively on the North American University circuit both as a Performer and Educator. In recent years Denis has been collaborating with renowned songwriter Brendan Graham on a series of songs primarily on the theme of emigration.
