Her niece, Francesca Hilton, died at age 67 of a massive stroke on January 5, 2015. She was cremated and her ashes were interred beside her at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.

Following a bathtub fall while on vacation in Mexico, she died later in Los Angeles from pneumonia and respiratory failure on July 4, 1995.

Of the three Gabor sisters, she was the only one who was never married to George Sanders. He was married to Zsa Zsa Gabor from 1949-54 and to Magda Gabor from 1970-71.

Her mother escaped from Nazi-occupied Budapest in the 1940s, also settling in the U. S.

She went to Hollywood, California, to act in the 1930s.

Eva Gabor was born on February 11, 1919 in Budapest, Hungary, to Jolie Gabor (née Janka Tilleman) and Vilmos Gabor (born Farkas Miklós Grün), a soldier. Her older siblings were Magda Gabor, an actress, and Zsa Zsa Gabor, an actress and socialite. Her parents were both from Jewish families.
