The world premiere was performed at the Teatro San Girolamo of Lucca on 4 May 2014.

On 31 December 2014 the City Hall of Lucca presented Favali with the Lucchese dell’anno award.

He grew up in Lucca, and started to compose at an early age, primarily as an autodidact. In 2008 he graduated in piano at Istituto superiore di studi musicali “L. Boccherini” of Lucca, and also graduated in fine arts at the University of Bologna with a thesis on Alban Berg.
