2019

He got his B.Arch. from the University of Nottingham,After which he worked at the architecture office of Franklin Ellis Architects, UK before proceeding to get his master’s degree from Massachusetts institute of technology (M.I.T). As his interest in politics and activism peaked, he got a second Masters in Research and Public Policy, from the political science department of University of Lagos (UNILAG). He is a practicing architect, social activist and avid writer; known for his stand against GMO’s in Nigeria and his campaign to bring back history as a subject to Nigerian schools.

He emerged the 2019 PDP Senatorial candidate representing Lagos West district. but he lost out to the eventually declared winner Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

2017

In May 2014, he started Gbadebo started his Anti-GMO struggle by debating the Minister of Agriculture in the national dailies as well as the Directors of the NBMA on National television. On 8 June 2017, he led a 2000 man march on the Senate, in partnership with environmental activist such as Nnimmo Bassey.

Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour (born 8 March 1983) is a Nigerian Architect, Public policy expert, Activist and a Politician. He was the PDP senatorial candidate representing Lagos West (the largest senatorial district by population) in the 2019 National assembly elections. Making him the youngest senatorial candidate and a beneficiary of the Not to young to run movement. He came to the public eye based on his activisim and debates with the then Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Adesina as well as several public officials via articles in the National dailies, Media appearances and protest marches he led on the Lagos State Government house and the Senate.

Gbadebo was born in to the Rhodes-Vivour family of Lagos on 8 March 1983 to Barrister Olawale and Barrister Nkechi Rhodes-Vivour. He is great-great-grandson to William allen Vivour ,great-grandson to Justice S.B Rhodes ( second indigenous judge ever appointed), grandson to Chief, Justice A.R.W Rhodes-Vivour ,nephew to Supreme court Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour .He is married to Dr. Ify Aniebo PhD.
