Jon won the outstanding performance award at the 2019 Method Fest film festival playing Walt Warshaw in William Wayne's acclaimed thriller Lost Angelas (2019).
In 2005 Jon co-directed and starred as DJ Hound Dog in the Musical Comedy DJ Hound Dog (2003) featuring a line up of many of the worlds top international DJ's. Jon co-wrote the songs and provided Vocals for the DJ Hound Dog Soundtrack album and also for another album "No Rock uN Rolled" under his Avatar name Neverdie.
Childhood friend of Charlotte Lewis. Their friendship led to them working together on the film DJ Hound Dog (2003).
In 2002 Jon created the Iconic "Neverdie" avatar inside the online game Entropia Universe, Neverdie made video game history and has became one of the most influential Avatars in online multiplayer video games.
When trying to get his film Lucinda's Spell (1998) made he pitched it to producers as it a potential sequel to the Ken Russell film Whore (1991).
Jon's first lead role in a feature film was in the much praised Welcome Says the Angel (1996) Kevin Thomas of the Los Angeles Times selected the film as Best of the Weekend and raved that the characters were "Beautifully played by Jacobs and Hauer", Jon played the title role in Hungarian Film Week Winner Johnny Famous (2000) and directed and starred in the audacious Festival hit Lucinda's Spell (1998).
Jon followed up by directing and acting in three more short films with Tattersall Metropolis Apocalypse (1988), Moonlight Resurrection (1988) and Sleepwalker (1993) Metropolis Apocalypse was an official selection at the Cannes film Festival in 1988.
After years of dreaming of breaking into movies, Jon was visiting his friend Cris Campion, a French actor who was working on Robert Altman's film Beyond Therapy (1987) which was shooting in Paris. While Jon was actually on the set, Cris received a phone call from London informing him that Jon had won his first film role (it took him a while to convince Jon he wasn't pulling his leg). Jon has always considered it a good omen that his first film role came to him while visiting Altman's set.
Jon made his stage debut at the Young Vic Theatre in 1986 playing General La Terre in "Napoleon Noir" directed by James Marcus that year he also made his screen debut in the short film Salette (1986) which was shot by Cinematographer David Tattersall.
