In 2019, Burr moved to Auckland to play with the New Zealand Warriors.
In 2018, Burr signed back with his original club Canterbury-Bankstown and played in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW. He was named player of the year and was part of the Canterbury side which won the Intrust Super Premiership NSW grand final defeating Newtown 18-12 at Leichhardt Oval. The following week, Burr played for Canterbury in their NRL State Championship victory over Redcliffe at ANZ Stadium.
He previously played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League. He played for the Leigh Centurions in the Betfred Super League, and on loan from Leigh at the Sheffield Eagles in the 2017 Kingstone Press Championship.
In October 2016 he joined Bradford Bulls, but following their liquidation in January 2017 he signed a 1 Year Deal with Leigh Centurions.
On 4 September 2014, Burr signed a 2-year contract with the Gold Coast Titans starting in 2015.
