Mike Beltran height - How tall is Mike Beltran?

2019 Session: Beltran passed HB 225, which requires district school boards to allow students to wear dress uniforms of the United States Armed Forces or National Guard at graduation ceremonies. This bill was introduced after an incident in Representative Beltran's district at a high school graduation ceremony, after a student was sent home and not allowed to walk across the stage for having her National Guard uniform on. Beltran also passed HB 7027, which prohibits vaping in enclosed indoor workplaces and prohibits anyone under the age of 18 years old from vaping in, on, or within 1,000 feet of school property. Beltran had 3 other pieces of legislation that eventually passed as amendments onto other pieces of legislation. HB 7125 passed with language that included the reallocation of unencumbered funds returned to the Crime Stoppers Trust fund so that eligible counties can use these funds to pay rewards for tips that result in certain arrests. HB 843 passed including language that created the pediatric cardiac technical advisory panel after the incident at All Children's Heart Institute showed the lack of oversight in pediatric heart surgery programs. HB 7125 was passed that included Beltran's language that prohibits introduction or possession of any cellular telephone or other portable communication device on grounds of any county detention facility. The legislation previously applied to state prisons, but not county detention facilities.

Beltran defeated Sean McCoy in the August 28, 2018 Republican primary, winning 53.2% of the vote. In the November 6, 2018 general election, Beltran won 55.27% of the vote, defeating Democrat Debbie Katt.

An attorney, Beltran is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School. Beltran moved to Florida in 2010.
