The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2019. In July 2018, Berger was cast as the lead, Cecily, in the indie thriller, Runt. Also in 2018, Nicole played Ali in the independent reality film, Ali's Realm, where she befriends a 7' tall alien named Charlie.

Berger has also performed in Palm Beach community theater productions of West Side Story as Maria in 2018 and Matilda as Miss Honey in 2017.

In the film, Berger played her own classical piano parts and was quoted saying it was "one of the best parts" of filming the movie. The film debuted at the Napa Valley Film Festival in 2016, and again at the 2016 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. The film was released to DVD and streaming in 2018.
