Protyasha's husband Kazi Abu Bakar Siddiky is a producer in TV and film media. The couple has three daughters. They are Kazi Nusaiba Nawar, Kazi Ayra Alina and Kazi Amelia Ayaat. Protyasha has established a charitable organization, 'Mumtaz Foundation' for helping the orphan, victimized women and disabled people. For her contribution in social welfare, she has been awarded with Certificates of Honor by Aloron Sahitya Shangsad and Human Rights Cultural Society in 2011, and by the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in 2012.
In 2002, Protyasha participated in the 'Lux Anandadhara Miss Bangladesh' competition, and was selected in the Top Ten among 35,000 contestants. Then in 2003 she hosted a Talk show ‘Ajker Shakal’ on NTV. After that she acted in various dramas, and also performed various television commercials. Besides television drama, Protyasha is also connected to Nattya Teertha theatre as an active member. As a member of this theatre, she has performed in various dramas.
