In 1998, he went to the US to study at Monsignor Bonner Highschool, Pennsylvania. However, he decided to come back to Vietnam to be a singer in 2000. He signed a contract with Kim Loi Studio and released his first album Nhung Ngay Xua Yeu Dau in 2001.

Trần Quang Vinh (born 18 May 1982 in Ho Chi Minh City), also known by his stage name Quang Vinh, is a Vietnamese pop singer.

He was born in May 18th 1982 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. In spite of not from a family with art tradition, he was soon to show his music talent. During elementary school's last years, he was sent to District 1's Children House to become a member of Son Ca Singing Team. He and his fellows appeared in almost any children's music shows on TV or music contests for children.
