On July 4, 2014, Morikubo posted on his blog that he had gotten married that week. He kept exact details of the marriage private, other than that his wife was a "regular woman" with no connections to the entertainment industry. On December 28, 2017, he announced on an episode of his radio show The BAY☆LINE that earlier in the year, his wife had given birth to their first child, a daughter. He later reaffirmed the news via Twitter.

Morikubo married fellow voice actress Yū Asakawa on February 22, 2007. In 2009, Asakawa announced on her blog that the two had divorced due to differences in personality, but described the split as amicable. Exact dates of the divorce are undisclosed.

"The Answer" and "Moon Light" were the album's promotional tracks, being used in the video game series Rockman X as the opening themes to Rockman X6.
