Sudip Dutta height - How tall is Sudip Dutta?

Sudip Dutta moved from India to Singapore in 2012, where he now resides with his wife Aarti Dutta and their two children.

His most significant achievements for the company include the listing of Ess Dee Aluminium in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India in 2006 and the takeover of India Foils Ltd. in 2008, which was then India's leading foil manufacturer and exporter of aluminium foil, set up in 1960. In 2009 Forbes India bestowed upon him the title of "The Wrapper tycoon".

In 1991, the packaging unit started facing losses. The management decided they couldn't keep it alive and decided to sell it. However, Dutta decided to seize this opportunity and bought the company. He paid Rs. 1,60,000 of his savings, and promised the owners a share of the profits for two years.

In 1988 at the age of 16, Dutta arrived in Mumbai. He found a job with a packaging unit and was in charge of packing, loading, and delivering. He worked alongside with 12 other people in poor conditions. He lived in a room with 20 people, and walked 40 km daily to work to save expenses. He earned Rs. 15 daily at the packaging unit.

Sudip Dutta was born into a poor family in Durgapur, West Bengal. His father served India during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. During his service, his father was paralyzed by bullets and Sudip's elder brother became the breadwinner of the family. To add to the misfortune, his elder brother fell ill and died. His father couldn't take the shock and also died. Sudip, just sixteen years old, was entrusted with the task of feeding his family. His friends encouraged him to move to Mumbai, and inspired by Amitabh Bachchan, Sudip listened to their advice and took the train to Mumbai, choosing to support his family instead of pursuing his education.
