Timeline
His potential was quickly identified when he was in the AEK Academies and during the 2007–08 season, he was invited for a trial by championship side Nottingham Forest and eventually signed a two-year scholarship as well as a one-year professional contract. He was a key member of the 2009–10 side that reached the England Academy final for the first time in 10 years. He saved no fewer than three leicester City penalties in the semi final helping his team reach the final that was played at the Emirates stadium against Arsenal. During the 2010–11 season he was promoted in the Nottingham Forest first team as third choice and was handed the number 67 shirt. In February 2011 he signed a three and a half year deal with his old club Aek Larnaca and was handed the number 40 shirt. In August 2013, he was given on loan to Alki Larnaca for one year after extending his contract with Aek until the summer of 2015. He impressed especially in the two games against Apollon Limassol and AEK Kouklion away. He started both of Cyprus's u21 international qualifiers against Belgium and Italy. At the end of the 2014–2015 season, Mytides signed for Ethnikos Achnas, rejecting an offer to stay with Aek as he was seeking for more football time action. Mytides is considered to be one of the most promising goalkeepers in Cyprus having represented all national team age groups. Mytides signed for Thoi Lakatamias for the 2017–2018 season to get more games under his belt. He put in some strong performances especially against promotion favourites Anagenissi Deryneias helping his team gain a valuable point in a 0–0 draw as well as helping his team win their first game of the season against Halkanoras by keeping another clean sheet in the 2–0 win. On January 2, 2018, he signed for Digenis Oroklinis until the end of the season. He played a key role in helping the team stay in the second division for the first time in their history. Mytides played a total of 20 games for the 2017–2018 season keeping 5 clean sheets. On July 12, 2018 he signed a one-year deal with Othellos Athienou who are targeting to win the second division league this season and go back to the first division. Mytides stated "It is a fantastic club with great people around it. I am looking forward to work hard and get the team back where it belongs." Mytides chose to wear the number 23 for the 2018–2019 season. On January 15, 2019, Mytides signed for Chalkanoras Idaliou and chose to wear the number 55 shirt.
Mytides has been a part of all international age groups since 2007 which include the u15, the u17 and u19 where he was captain as well as the u21 where he was named man of the match in an away game at Belgium on March 25, 2013 in front of 6000 fans as well as in the home win against a strong Serbia team which included three players who were regular members of the senior Serbia national team in October 2013 as well as a notable performance in the 0–2 home loss against Italy. Certain to win a call up in the full national team, this call up has not yet been made due to a series of unfortunate injuries. Μytides has expressed his desire to achieve a lot as a professional football player.
